SSW – Stamford Sports Wheels – is Stamford Tyres’ proprietary brand of alloy wheels manufactured in its company-owned plant in Thailand. SSW has models with diameters of 13” to 26” tailored for passenger car, SUV, MPV and light truck. SSW wheels are designed, manufactured and tested in-house. Our designers have created a line of wheels that offer exciting style, looks and road performance. SSW wheels are exported internationally especially to Europe, USA, Australia and most Asian Countries.
The first plant, which has started operations in 2004, uses the tilt casting method equipped with robotic melt feeders while the newly-built second plant is using the revolutionary low pressure casting process. This new technology provides high product efficiencies without compromising superior product quality. SSW now has a combined production capacity of 75,000 wheels a month with room for further expansion. The new facility also comes with a modernized painting line housed in a clean environment with dust free spray booths which allows them to achieve more consistent and flawless finishing.
SSW has been in collaboration since 2004 with the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech) with the main objective of using the institute’s wide knowledge and expertise to gain an edge in manufacturing process technology. SSW is certified in accordance to stringent international quality standards set by JWL/JWL-T, VIA (Japan) and GOST (Euro-Asian Council, Commonwealth Independent States). In addition, it is also certified by TUV of Germany for ISO 9001:2000 and TS16949:2002 for its quality system to qualify as a 1st tier OEM Automotive Part supplier.
